Connect Small Groups
Why do I need to be in a small group?
It is part of the vision of our church. We all need a pastor to care for us and teach us to use our God-given gifts to influence the world around us.
The MISSION of the SCA Small Group Ministry is to fulfill the great commandment (Mark 12:30-31) and the great commission (Matt 28:19-20) through small home fellowship groups which meet to fulfill the SCA vision – find friends, find God, find purpose.
- Providing a personal care pastor for everyone
- Encouraging fellowship and relationships
- Receiving personal ministry
- Growing in Christ through learning and applying the Word of God
- Discovering and using spiritual gifts
- Evangelizing those in and out of the church
- Mentoring future leaders
How do I find the right group for me?
Refer to the bulletin for schedules as well as small group brochures in the foyer. In addition, there is a current list of leaders and host homes on this website – under current small groups. You may want to visit several groups before joining one. Each group is unique. Most importantly, ask God to direct you.
When do they meet?
Most home groups meet the 2nd & 4th Sunday evenings at 6:00 pm – unless otherwise indicated.
How do I dress and what do I bring?
Dress casual. Bring yourself and your Bible. Once you join a group, you may be asked to contribute with light snack or soft drink – definitely nothing expensive or extravagant.
May I bring a friend the time I come?
YES!! You are welcome to bring friends anytime, in fact we encourage it!
Can I get prayer for my personal needs?
Yes!! If you want to be prayed for, just ask. Our Connect Small Groups are the best place for personal prayer. Come expecting your spiritual breakthrough!
What about children?
Children are always welcome – however, some homes are better equipped, specifically for children, than others. There are groups that are designed specifically for the whole family, to include infants and small children. Email us to find a group just for you and your children. Jo@springcreekassembly.com
